With the group Emerald Web, Kat Epple has released twelve albums of original music, on record labels such as Passport Records, and Celestial Harmonies, and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category New Age for 1986. Live performances include: a concert tour of Planetariums around the U.S., a commissioned composition for the S.W. Florida Symphony Orchestra and flute, (which premiered at Barbara Mann Hall), operning group for the band Air Supply, featured performer at the National Gallery, Washington, D.C., Hollywood Palace, L.A., ongoing performances on various ethnic flutes and electronics for Gallery and Art Museum openings in NY City, for the modern artist, Robert Rauschenberg.

Her original New Age/jazz/world music features flutes and keyboards. In her Ft. Myers, Florida-based studio, Kat composes and produces film and video soundtracks for National Geographic, Nova, CNN, TBS and NASA, among others, and was Music Director on the feature-length film, Captiva Island. For her work in video, she has won seven Emmy Awards. She uses music in her work toward environmental and humanitarian awareness, and teaches a course in music and healing. She has travelled to China, Africa, the Amazon, Europe, Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean to learn of the people, nature, and music of to other cultures and to collect flutes from around the world which she features in her original compositions.

The recent collaboration between Kat and keyboardist, Chuck Grinnell, has resulted in an inspiring new sound and many original compositions, which they are currently recording for their soon-to-be-released first album together.
